Replacing Missing Front Teeth

A gap in the front of your mouth can significantly impact your smile, speech and overall oral health. While there are various solutions to address this issue, one of the most effective and long-lasting treatments is the installation of a single dental implant with a crown.

Benefits Of Replacing Multiple Teeth With Implants

Dental implants don’t just fill the gaps left by multiple missing teeth – they restore the look, feel and function of real teeth. They’re a permanent, secure solution designed to improve not just your smile, but also your oral health and quality of life.

Natural Appearance and Comfort

Dental implants are designed to look, feel, and function just like a natural tooth. They blend seamlessly with your existing teeth, offering maximum comfort and a natural appearance.

Durability and Longevity

Implants are incredibly strong and durable. With good care, they can last decades – often a lifetime – making them a highly cost-effective solution in the long term.

Preserves Your Jawbone and Surrounding Teeth

Unlike dental bridges, implants don’t require altering healthy teeth. They also help prevent jawbone loss by stimulating bone growth where the tooth is missing, keeping your facial structure intact.

Improved Oral Health

Implants are easy to clean and maintain – just like natural teeth. They also prevent neighbouring teeth from shifting out of place and reduce the risk of gum disease or further tooth loss.

Improved Confidence and Quality of Life

Replacing a missing tooth means more than just restoring your smile. It improves your ability to eat, speak clearly, and feel confident in social situations – knowing your tooth looks completely natural and won’t move.

Patient Stories

A Birmingham patient lost social confidence due to severe gum disease, bleeding gums, and bad breath. They had worn a plastic upper denture for over 15 years and sought a permanent replacement for missing teeth with implants, as they couldn’t eat properly.

After treating the gum disease and preventing negative health effects in other teeth, we placed two implants painlessly to close the front teeth gaps, eliminating the need for a denture. We also place Porcelain veneers on some front teeth for an excellent cosmetic result, giving them back their natural looking smile.

The Outcome

The patient is extremely pleased with the implants and mouth restoration, calling it an “investment worth every penny.” Now, they require only routine maintenance visits with one of our dental hygienists in Birmingham every three months, so they can maintain good oral hygiene and have healthy teeth.

“Since getting my dental implants, I feel confident again. I can eat all my favourite foods and smile without hesitation.”

We’re Here For Advice, Reassurance & Honest Answers

It’s completely normal to have questions or worries about dental implants — from the procedure itself to the costs or alternatives. Our friendly, experienced team is always here to provide clear advice, reassurance and help you make the decision that’s right for you.

Is the implant procedure painful?

No – modern techniques make the procedure relatively painless. We use local anaesthetic and patients typically report less discomfort than expected. Any mild soreness after treatment is manageable with over-the-counter or prescribed pain relief.

Are there risks with dental implants?

As with any minor surgery, there are risks, but they’re very low. Choosing an experienced dental implant dentist significantly reduces the chance of complications. We take time to assess your health carefully before treatment.

What if the implant doesn’t work?

Implant failure is rare — especially with good planning, high-quality materials and proper care. Keeping your gums healthy and attending regular check-ups helps ensure long-term success.

Are implants expensive?

solution. Unlike bridges or dentures, they don’t need replacing regularly, which saves money long-term.

What are the alternatives to a dental implant?

If an implant isn’t right for you, we’ll discuss other options, including:

  • Dental bridges

  • Partial dentures

  • Flipper tooth (temporary denture)

  • Resin-bonded bridge (Maryland bridge)

  • A traditional tooth-supported fixed bridge

  • Or simply leaving the gap (not usually recommended for long-term oral health)

We’ll help you weigh the pros and cons of each option.
