Dr. Hema Arora (London) 2006, MFGDP (UK)

Principal Dentist

Hema took over as principal dentist in 2018. Having qualified from Kings College London in 2006, Hema has enjoyed and stayed working in general dental practice. She has worked at several practices in the Greater London Area, before moving to the West Midlands. Hema’s interests mainly lie in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. To further her education in these aspects, she successfully completed the Certificate in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the Dominic Hassall Training Institute in Solihull in 2013.

Hema has also been awarded the postgraduate qualification of the Membership of Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Hema is a trained and accredited provider of several teeth straightening systems including Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, Quick Straight Teeth and Inman Aligner, which means she can carry out quick, predictable and simple teeth straightening in adults.

Outside of dentistry, Hema enjoys spending time with her young family and travelling.

Sarah Dangerfield

Practice Manager And Treatment Coordinator

Hi, I’m Sarah Dangerfield, Practice Manager and Treatment Coordinator. I’ve had over 23 years’ experience in dentistry, so I guess you could say I love my job! I’m very proud to manage such a professional caring team here at Stella Maris Dental. I joined the team back in January 1997 as a Dental Nurse and have really enjoyed the challenges that my career in dentistry has seen, no two days are the same!

Dr Namih is the founder of the Stella Maris Dental Practice. Over the past 38 years, he has attended many post graduate courses in the UK and abroad. Dentistry is a passion for Dr Namih, and over the years he has found giving people the confidence to smile a very rewarding experience

Dr Ashley Davenport (B'ham) 1995, MFGDP (UK)

Dentist

I qualified as a dentist in 1995 and can honestly say that I have been doing a job that I love for the past 19 years. Most people who know me well know that dentistry is a passion for me.

I have been associated with Stella Maris Dental for 19 years now and I feel they are a totally dedicated and professional team to work with.

I have a special interest in Root Canal Treatments and Orthodontics; offering all types of braces for adults and children.

Professor Thomas Dietrich

Professor And Head Of Oral Surgery

Thomas is Professor and Head of Oral Surgery at The School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham. He studied both Dentistry and Medicine at Charite in Berlin, Germany, where he also trained as an Oral Surgeon. He undertook further studies at Harvard University in Boston, USA and then worked at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, before coming to Birmingham.

He has extensive experience in Oral Surgery and Dental Implants. He is well known in the Dental field with over 100 scientific publications.x

Lianne Lang

Hi, I’m Lianne Lang. I’m passionate about the career path I’ve chosen. I have been in the dental field since 1994 I qualified as a dental hygienist in 2002 from the University of Liverpool, and have worked for Stella Maris since 2004.

Hi, I’m Thaira Parveen. I’m qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist in 2007. I have worked at Stella Maris Dental since June 2013 and thoroughly enjoy working here and caring for my patients.

Gurpreet Badhan

Hi, I’m Gurpreet and I have joined the team in Feb 2022 and am proud to be part of such a lovely and dedicated team. I am a registered Dental Hygienist and Therapist and my passion for Dentistry evolved from me previously being a Dental Nurse and furthering my career to where I am now. I have been awarded the Elaine Teesdale Award for outstanding determination and professionalism and have over 10 years of experience in dentistry and I can honestly say that I love my job! In my spare time, I like to spend time with my daughter, exploring different food places and being creative.

Hi, I’m Danielle Foster. I have been working at Stella Maris Dental since 2014. I started as an apprentice dental nurse and then qualified as a Registered Dental Nurse.

I really love my job here as it is so rewarding helping our patients achieve dental health & confidence to smile again. It is such a friendly and welcoming place to work. I look forward to completing different challenges each day and furthering my career at Stella Maris Dental.

My Stella Maris Journey started October 2015 as an apprentice dental nurse. In June 2017, I qualified as a Registered Dental Nurse. I love every aspect of my job here and I find it most rewarding knowing I have contributed to helping people bring back their smile and confidence. I am looking forward to progressing in my career here at Stella Maris dental.
