What is Invisalign teeth straightening?

We have had lots of patients beginning their Invisalign journey over the past few weeks and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to outline what Invisalign actually is.

What does the Invisalign process consist of?

She will be able to assess your case and provide you with digital images of what you can expect your teeth to look like upon completion of treatment. 

Invisalign consists of wearing a series of aligners, for 22 hours per day. You have to remove the aligners for eating, drinking and brushing your teeth. Every 2 weeks, you will change your aligners. During your Invisalign journey, you will be in close contact with Hema, having regular appointments to ensure your treatment is going as expected. 

Although you are able to remove the clear aligners for special occasions, please be aware that doing this on a regular basis can significantly slow down your treatment time. We absolutely recommend wearing your aligners for the advised 22 hours every single day. Once your teeth reach their desired position, you will be provided with a retainer to wear whilst sleeping. Wearing the retainer will ensure that your teeth don’t return to their former position. 

How much does Invisalign cost?

As previously mentioned, each patient’s treatment process will vary slightly depending on the severity of their case and how often they are taking out their aligners, as well as other factors. All of these factors will impact the overall cost of treatment, and this will be outlined in your initial consultation. As a guide, Invisalign treatment has a starting price of £3400.
